Saraburi gran says grandson, 7, knocked down by PE teacher

A Saraburi grandmother has gone to the police for the second time after her grandson was assaulted by a PE teacher at a school in Chalermprakiat district.

On 28th September during a picture drawing session Saiphin's grandson said that he was being teased by other boys who poked him in the eye.

He responded by going after the bullies with a pencil.

This was seen by the PE teacher who immediately reacted and hit her grandson four times knocking him to the ground.

The boy is aged just 7 in Primary 1.

The teacher tried to cover up the matter and give some first aid. The school did not inform guardians what happened.

The boy came home with a high fever and severe bruising. He was taken to hospital and a police report was made.

The school tried to persuade Saiphin, 53, to withdraw charges but she said no way. She was furious that the teacher had not even apologized.

On Monday the fever returned and she took her son back to the hospital amid fears he may have been severely injured by the assault. And she went to the police again.

Na Phralan police have issued a summons to the teacher concerned.

They are waiting on a doctor's report on the seriousness of the boy's injuries.

You might expect that teachers like this one would be capable of reading the news and by now realise that they are unlikely to get away with knocking young kids about. I guess that the message will not sink in until a few of them have been sent to prison for at least a few weeks, along with the loss of their jobs and pensions, instead of the usual apologetic wais and at worst a transfer to another school.

Pretty easy to protect bullies and then knock around a 7 year old defending himself with a pencil. He should have had a gun and taken out the teacher then the bullies.

The teacher physically assaulting the child is bad enough but as for the school trying to cover up the scandal and asking her to withdraw charges is abominable!!

Sack the teacher and sack the principle... THIS HAS TO STOP !!

Wow...

The Gran could not have been very serious about this matter, she hasn't posted the event on Facebook to get a reaction from 'concerned Netizens'.
