Yaba Dealer Apprehended

On the 10th of February Police received a tip off that there was drug related activity taking place around Jomtien Beach.

Police were already aware of this local dealer, Pairat Pong-Pet, aged 37, from the Kokma community and so a sting operation was set up.

Undercover Police then arranged a meeting to take place at 7 pm and requested that Pairat supply undercover officers with 10 tablets of Yaba tablets priced at 250 Baht each.

The sting took place and Pairat was searched and police found 25 yaba tablets; he was taken into custody to Dongtan Police Station where he has been charged with the possession of Class One illegal narcotics and is now waiting for his court trial.

Anybody interested in obtaining yaba tablets from Pairat should contact the Tourist Police Direct on 191. Clearly but slowly state what you require. Followed with a short but accurate description of yourself along with passport number and hotel details.

We are sure, they would like to assist.

It would seem the translator at Pattaya People has been attending english lessons and has learned a little about irony, and has decided to practice. The post is verbatim from the original article, usually if Libya adds his own editorial he marks it clearly to separate it from the original.

I note from the article he is charged with 'possession' and NOT 'possession with intent to supply'

Do they differentiate between the 2 offences in Thailand??

Back in the UK there is a big difference between the 2.

Normally the quantity alone is sufficient to prove the intent to supply.

Anyways, one less scumbag off the streets
