yes, i went with a whole gang once and most had a scooter,

its a bit slower and more resting stops, but easily doable before sun goes down as long as you dont waste too much time in morning & stops

did you need to secure your bike somehow? i am thinking of the ferry maybe pitching back and forth a small amount.

Be careful of those roads on KC.  They are liked polished marble.

Are there ATMs on Koh Chang?

i cant swear on it but it almost certainly has, its no small island

thre is one incredibly steep incline right after a beautiful place with a sort of lagoon, one of the gang i went with fell over he couldnt handle it, but otherwise i think its as made for driving bike

Plenty of them. Koh Chang is quite a developed island.

Once you get off the ferry you will have a few KM of extremely steep and twisty roads before you arrive at the more built up areas.

If you are 2-up with a small amount of luggage on a small scooter, you may have to get off and push - seriously.

Also, on auto scooters, where you can't select low gears, the downhill sections are quite exciting.

Unless there is a big swell, you will be fine. The barges are large and stable. Try to get loaded first so you can ride straight off when you land. Park the bike, whip off the boots and go upstairs to get a coffee and relax.

you can use those rubberbands with hooks to secure it on some structure if you feel uncertain, but it is not really needed
