Pattaya gay bar violence means hospital for Cambodian

A staffer is helping police with their inquiries after a fight erupted in the Scandic gay bar in Boys Town, South Pattaya.

"Khem", 29, from Cambodia said he was assaulted by a member of staff.

He was treated for a bloodied leg wound after being loaded up into a rescue pick-up for a trip to hospital.

The argument was over a man sitting with Khem who said that his wound resulted from hitting a glass table.

Media reported that tourists fled the bar as the fight developed.

Thirty four year old "Moo Ham Mat" is with the police who are checking CCTV footage.

Seems some assume gay means weak or something.

gay guys are still guys with strength no different to any other man.

In Oz have bear bars, Jing should know what it means ????. Last thing you would want to do is pick a fight with one or be in the middle of one.

True, gay men have a range in strength just like all men. However, bears are basically chubby and fat guys with hair so not sure I would be too intimidated by them as a class. Also bar "workers" at gay bars  are quite often straight men. Cheers.

Nor do I, close it down, not needed in this family resort

So you're saying close down ALL the commercial sex venues, gay and straight, right? :coffee1:

So your question is why you would not want to pick a fight with a bear?

when you meet one or a few you would know

Ive met them in several cites/ countries including Sydney, but I’d be more scared of an Ozzie queen than an Ozzie bear any day of the week when they are pissed off.

i sure miss good old pattaya when going to a gay bar meant going out to a fun, happy place where music played, the drinks were flowing and if the patrons wanted to exchange blows they would take their boyfriend to the bathroom.

It's still exactly like good old Pattaya.

Boyztown is very, very safe area, I'm trying to recall when was the last fight or any violent incident there, and can't.

I think the gay oriented violence that does happen these days is mostly linked to people meeting strangers on apps.
