NAKHON PATHOM, 21st October 2018 (NNT) - Acting leader of Phalang Pracharat Party Uttama Savanayana has held a meeting with farmers in Nakhon Pathom province. He later insisted that the trip was not a campaign activity and dismissed criticisms of the party.

On Sunday, Mr.Uttama, who is the Minister of Industry, met representatives of agricultural SME networks at Lemon Me Farm in Nakhon Pathom. He said he saw the potential of Thai people in the agricultural sector during his trip to the farm, adding that Thai agriculture can be developed further in many ways and can even be transformed into an agricultural industry.

As for the criticism of his party, the acting party leader said criticisms cannot be prohibited since Thailand is an open country. He said it is up to other people to decide, and there is no need for him to explain.

Mr.Uttama declined to comment on the party's executive nominating Gen.Prayut Chan-o-cha as the next prime minister. He said the party will nominate a PM candidate after it is approved by the Election Commission.

Sadly true.

When you're on the "inside," you owe no explanations.

When you're on the "outside," you deserve no explanations.
