Fire extinguisher failure, fire blanket burnt to a crisp, The smoke alarm was working fine - one of the staff had it at home for testing.
PhilAtUbon
If it’s a server room, it’s quite possible the air conditioning failed. Servers can get extremely hot unless constantly cooled, and can cause fires. Possibly exacerbated by an inadequate server alarm system which fires off alerts to the appropriate staff that things are not good in Computer Land.
