In UK at the moment and it's got cold returned from work and decided to get myself a nice 12 year malt whisky for medicinal purposes only of course. Went into a large supermarket chain also well known in Thailand picked my favourite brand and went to checkout the young spotty faced youth at the till asked me for ID . Now I am bald and mid 60,s I politely asked him if he was joking and he replied no if you don't provide id I cannot sell to you, at which point he said he would have to call his supervisor as I had no id on me . The supervisor turned out to be a young girl that could have been my granddaughter equally as spotty after a long discussion and me telling them they needed to see the opticians that are in-store if they couldn't see I was over 25 they agreed I could buy the whisky. I could pass for early 50,s but under 25 definitely not 555

If you were in Thailand between 2pm and 5pm, or between 12pm and 11am, you wouldn't have got your whisky in Tesco Lotus - regardless of your age. ☹️

And, don't even mention the price of your 12 year old malt in the UK compared to here. ????

Did they use a calculator to work out the change?

I think there is some law or guideline regarding the legal age to purchase alcohol being that if the person 'appears' under 25 yrs old the are expected to present ID to prove they are over 18...

Go young man you !!!....
