As talked about on BBC yesterday, Christmas should not be even mentioned before 1st December. I am already sick of seeing ads on TV for fragrances and gifts and foods, and Bonfire Night has only just passed. Are the Thai shopping malls playing Jingle Bells yet?

Christmas is no longer is a religious holiday, it's all about making the almighty dollar. As soon as Halloween is over the stores and even the media shove the Christmas season on us. At this mpoint in my life I don't give a fiddlers fart about this holiday. Call me Scrooge and Bah Humbug to the lot of you.

And when Christmas is over the January sales will on leading to adverts for Easter in early February.

I always used to be amused by the summer holiday ads (Thomas Cook etc.) that appeared on the telly on Christmas Day!
