I found myself in, among other places, Spasso last night. Its not really my style as the folks there are not quite my crowd, ducky. If I want to see silicone and posturing, I can go to Scottsdale, LA, NYC, Miami or Vegas.

 

Nevertheless, I will say this: absolutely the best, I mean the best Mojito I have EVER had in my 40 plus years of drinking, and that includes South America, and all the fancies in Vegas, NYC, LA and Miami. Three years ago, I had one in a bar in Vientiane that blew my socks off, but this one was like heaven in a glass. It was so good I didnt flinch at the 450 baht cost. Highly recomended for Mojito lovers (and the scenery isnt bad if you are into pneumatic)!

That reminds me of Ti++$ Tequila in Nana some years ago. The tequila was nothing special but the presentation was pretty good.

Highball glass, correctly muddled (I watched) and a Mint sprig. Small cubes. Yumbolena to the max.

Yes, very nice drinks, but very nice (read high) prices! Think it's the same cost for a premium spirit/mixer so a Mojito will be what I try there next time go, thanks for the info!

And Im sure its not top shelf rum either. But Im not a big drinker anymore (5 or 6 beat me up for 24 hours) so the high prices are what they are for where and what it is. You would pay a few bucks more in the fancies in Vegas or NY or LA or Miami so Im happy. Im sure you would get just buttbanged for one in Londo at a fancy hotel bar. It really is a clean, classy place without a bunch of Yobs and Cheap Charlies and guys that look all furtive and stuff....

 

And I dont buy Lady Drinks. ????

 

 

I like to people watch and I saw one older western guy (a loathesome specimen like Moi) buying for a young lady (who was a knockout). She was the one who approached him. I wanted to say dude, tell her that for the 10K you are going to pay her in the morning she should buy her own drinks. ????????????????????????????????✌????

 

I think I may make that place one of my semi monthly go outs. Its got better AC than Thermae ???? Get there early enough for a seat at the bar and watch the paid mating rituals ????

As the saying goes "you get what you pay for" and in Spasso's that is certainly the case. The women who frequent that establishment in the later evening all look like they just came from a fashion shoot or movie shoot. Simply drop dead gorgeous with the necessary English speaking skills to keep your interest in them going. Yes, you pay up the keister for drinks and expect to drop upwards of 10,000 Baht on them for lady drinks and their body in you bed but man oh man is it worth it. In my wild hair days I made sure to hit Spasso's every time I came to Bangkok.

It really is a classy place, out of my league except maybe once a month...but I have been dropping baht on photo equipment so I probably wont go back for a week or two. Maybe Ill get lucky and get a freebie..hahahahah...????????????????????????????????

 

Seriously I enjoy a good cocktail correctly made. Wonder how their Daquiris are, or Melon Balls. Im still thinking about how tasty that Mojito was. Hmm..how about a Dark and Stormy? Pina Colada? Nomnom, can have that for dinner ???? Wonderful on a hot night! Go out filming and photographing, then hit there for a cool cocktail and eye candy! Thats the ticket.
