Good luck to the bloke, on the otherhand i can't see the authorities letting a FARANG getting away with working, even if he's only helping his wife......  Good on yer mate.......

Thats 100% right, if he kept a low profile he probably would have gotten away with it forever, except if maybe the boss of immigration went to get his car washed.

Now that its been on national television, they will certainly go to find him. Otherwise 10,000 foreigners will start washing cars tomorrow.

tell us; he makes 6000 baht a day and are you jealous??:)

i really never understand the wannabe farang immigration officers in thailand.

lets say they find him tomorrow or not, is this your problem? clearly not.

And a pensioner also. So he is bludging of the Aussie taxpayer while living it up in Paradise and earning cash with his hand out for taxpayers money.

Welfare cheat. I hate them.

If he has an Aussie pension he worked for it over many years. And as he’s not using any Australian facilities he’s hardly bludging off anybody. You hate welfare cheats? He’s not one of them.

I'm not jealous and its not my problem but I genuinely feel sorry for the guy as he will now be in trouble after broadcasting his circumstances to the world.

Misleading headline. The shop takes in 5 - 6k a day. There is no mention whether or not he gets paid.

But working for nothing or charity work is not allowed. Stupid I know, but T I T.

me think he is tired of this washing and wants to be deported.

are you an immigration officer to ask?

if it is a big problem for authorities, they go find him but they didnt.

rest is none of our business about his work permit.

Well, many yap about muslim immigrants coming to Europe and not policing their own kind. Then when the same group do police their own community abroad that ain't good either. Take a pick, some one is always going to get a can of beans up the nostrils. I prefer groups keeping their own in check.

Why they have a business that Thais are incapable of WORK

Have you always paid every cent of tax your supposed to, have you ever claimed a deduction for something that was not deductible, have you ever worked for cash in hand? Let he who is without sin etc.

He's going to washing Thai immigrations cars, free of charge, for the rest of his life.

Probably some nearby car washing shop called the media to come and do a interview with the farang to ruin he’s successful little business, correct me if I’m wrong.

The 'headline' soon to come will include "Big Joke", "Australian pensioner" and "working to make ends meet."

Hope it doesn’t turn our No WP and ......

u jealous  maybe he worked 40 years non stop get a pension he paid for so why is he a welfare cheat pension is not welfare it is paid for by yourself over the years ,

Oh yes...indeed, he's screwed. Lesson is if you have a cash making scheme going, don't let anyone promote it.  My gripe is I follow the law and we all know he's not the only one violating his visa.

On another topic... Thai Gov. should allow expats to work at least part time, considering how much expats contribute, and besides... waiving the work permit for expats is a smart move.
