Question about going in and out of country

Featured Replies

I am sorry my mind is missing the correct wording.  Here is the issue.

My retirement extension expires on 12 Jan2019.  That is not a problem I am Canadian so do not have the other issues.

My question is I want to go to China for a week over the holidays.  Will I have any problems getting the permission to exit stamp on my passport

Sorry old age I am forgetting what it is really called.

Are you referring to a re-entry permit?

You can get it at immigration or the major airports in BKK.

1000 baht for single and 3800 for multiple.

You can get a re-entry permit for 1,000 baht at your local immigration office or at the airport on the way out.

You will need to return before January 12th in time to renew your extension, or renew early before you leave.

The reentry permit is a breeze at airport. You can download form and print (double sided), fill out details and attach photo. Do all this along with photocopy of photo page and last permit to stay stamp, before you go to airport. At don mueang, just PAST passport control there is reentry permit office. It takes 5 minutes. Don't waste your time obtaining one with trip to immigration office.
