Hi all. The best option for me is to set up a small business in my Thai wife's name and have my salary from another source as her business earnings which would suffice to extend my Non O.Has anyone done this? Is it only a matter of filling in some tax forms at the local council office or is it a little more complicated than that?Any advice/info is appreciated.

Your wife’s business pays your wife a monthly gross salary of not less than 40,000 Baht and your wife pays personal income tax on this salary. After three months, your wife’s tax records for the past 3 months are sufficient evidence of monthly family income for you to get your annual extension of stay.

Thanks Maestro.I'm still wondering how she goes about setting such a business up.Obviously she will be 'working from home' so is there need for 'business registration' and lengthy paperwork or is it merely a simple declaration of income then payment of tax?Would she then,as she is earning over 40,000,be entitled to some credit/bank loans as well?
