Oziex1
The way I read this is they were encroaching onto the beach to allow for commercial development. I personally prefer the whole beach, a treed and grassed area perhaps then the bars and restaurants. Left to the developers you get a metre of beach a crumbling seawall then the usual commercial mayhem.

Burma Bill
Unbelievable - not knowing on one hand what the other is doing. Is there a Thai word for co-operation?

grumpy 4680
Logically, it does seem a ridiculous place to build a wall if not down to some sort of bedrock, One good storm, and the waves will be under and over the wall, soon smashing it to bits.

NamKangMan
How embarrassing. No due diligence. No exchange of information between departments. Probably one department more corrupt than the other. Crazy.

sfokevin
My bet is that what has already been built will not me “moved”... it will be covered with sand and a new wall built in the proper place...
