Getting a pair of jeans shipped from US, any tips?

Featured Replies

I like 501 shrink-to-fits in 38/36 and they do not seem to be available here at any price. Fortunately they last years and I visit the US a couple times a year.

Saw a T-shirt yesterday in a booth shop at lotus:

  • Whyyy all this trouble for a pair of jeans?

  • DONT use any form of courier ! Use standard US postal service, make sure declared value is lower than $50.

DHL, FedEx or UPS will do it. The question is: Is it worth?

Any of these are likely to guarantee customs interest in the package and possible tax...

for the past 40 years I've bought all my clothes from LL Bean in the US because they fit me nicely, all cotton chinos and knitted golf shirts mostly...outdoor clothes like parkas and etc from REI Inc...I usually order them when working in saudi where there is no import duty so I'm cool...

tried ordering from Thailand and the UK and got hit by the full whack of customs duty...now most of the time when at home I just go nekkid...why bother...

Wow! This why I post on ThaiVisa Forum. Sometimes you guys nail it.

Levi's 527 isn't available in Udon Thani, not even in either of the two Levi's stores. They (527's) fit me well, are comfortable, and suit my 90's low-rise and bootcut sensibilities. F skinny jeans, straight fit's, or baggies. It may upset some forum members to know that I wear them 4-5 times a week and never wash them. Every month to two months, I'll soak them inside-out in a cold water with a heavy admixture of salt.

I wondered what that rancid smell was, and I’m nowhere near Udon
