Cheers of USA USA USA! Oh! shame on the TDS'ers for denying American's their patriotic POTUS! God Bless America

Wait until he tweets they were all cheering “Donald Trump, Donald Trump”

And did Sarah this time post a video that wasn’t manipulated, or did her far-right friends use Adobe again?

Wow-wee!  A whopping 3 hour visit and didn't even have a meeting with the President of Iraq.  Also, it would seem that Iraq would only be an intermediate stop on his way to Afghanistan where he is pulling out 1/2 of the forces and leaving the other half to pick up their jobs.  His bone spurs have now migrated to his spine!

He went to visit the troops   not with Iraq heads of state !

The article doesn't mention that he should or shouldn't meet with heads of state in Iraq the thread is about a unannounced visit to the men and women of the military which resulted in  Chants of USA USA USA!

Disrespectful?  Oh my!  I'm sure he's losing sleep over that one!

:cheesy:

He should have visited Iran and dropped in on Rouhani, brought him a nice Christmas dinner gift, like a Smithfield ham.

:cheesy::cheesy:

Let's see, what else could have contributed to this reality comedy?

Hey, how about if he stopped in Turkey and brought back a turkey from the country where turkeys come from?

:cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

Gotta wonder how many times Melania got her butt pinched by the GIs.

Even more questionable was that he demanded the uniformed Iraqi PM meet him at the airbase upon landing... the PM was in another part of the country... apparently 45's avoiding of international protocol has upset the Iraqi parliament and they are now calling for US troop withdrawal... We'll done Donald.

what punishment do you see fit for this

Gracious such extreme suggested actions - hardly remedial actions.

Likely a reminder to the offending soldiers by their commanding officers of the Hatch Act, its purpose and threat of KP, pushups, letter to personnel file, etc. should future violations occur.

But frankly it's difficult for military officers to maintain discipline and reinforce proper military behavior (especially nonpartisan behavior) when the US Commander-in-Chief is footloose with and/or apparently ignorant of US laws and military protocol. Those concerns were in part why Secretary of Defense General Mattis resigned.

Also what was the ripe BS about troops getting no raise for ten years and 45 getting them 10+ % raise?

They have gotten raises every year and 2018s was 2.6% NOT 10%+... A basic foot soldier makes about 19.5K/year now. A wage which qualifies their families for food stamps.

Well done Donald.

 Patriotic Applause and proper respect for one of the greatest pro military commander and chief's' ever!

Is this sarcasm? Otherwise, you do not know your modern American history.  It is unfair to compare with pre 1900 presidents as the world was different then.

The gold standard was set by  FDR on so many levels. Eisenhower was another in a league all of his own. Even Nixon had better achievements despite the failures in  Cambodia and Laos. Truman ensured respect for the US constitution and the duties of command officers with his handling of the deceitful corrupt MacArthur.

And 42000 of those service men are not getting their paychecks on December 31 as they should because their budget falls under Homeland Security.!

"About 42,000 active-duty coast guardsmen are working without pay amid a federal government shutdown, and they won’t receive their scheduled paycheck on Dec. 31 if Congress doesn’t pass legislation by Friday.

Although the rest of the military is still getting paid during the shutdown, the Coast Guard is not, since its budget falls under the Department of Homeland Security." https://taskandpurpose.com/coast-guard-pay-shutdown/

There is no crime of "crime according to CNN".

They didn't violate anything - all that happened is that CNN, in their rabid desire to knock all things Trump, also decided they'd try to take down a few patriots - people in Iraq, risking their lives - for the offence of getting excited when the POTUS visited.

When Obama visited, they asked him to sign his picture. Getting Trump to sign a MAGA hat is simply what  it is - getting the POTUS to sign a hat. The only offence committed was the offending of the idiots at CNN.

Soldiers always get excited when the POTUS shows up. The crowd is chosen that way.

Your own desire to punish those on the front line - just to get at Trump - is rather disturbing.

Calm down.

Nobody ‘desires to punish those on the front line - just to get at Trump’.

Your getting far too emotional, again.

But that doesn't count because...well..just because. And while I'm at it, I'm going to throw in a decisive "So there!", too.

Where did all those MAGA hats come from? And what President before Trump has made the visit an overtly political event. In his speech to the troops he condemned Democrats. Unprecedented and disgraceful to be overly political in an address to the military.

 And exactly how were the 100 troops who dined with him selected? The army and air force are both overrepresented in the number of African American and Hispanic American troops as compared to the US population. Yet there seems to be quite a shortfall of them in the soldiers depicted? Were less enthusiastic soldiers denied the opportunity to participate?

Did you see his interview about landing in Iraq?  It literally scared the crap out of him.  He said that they made everybody lower the window shades and all of the lights were turned off in the airplane interior.  I winder what he would have done if somebody brought him a helmet, or a 1" steel plate, and told him to sit on it.  His bone spurs might have turned brown. Snipers at the airport love targets silhouetted in lighted windows and firing into low passing aircraft.!
