Spacey outside the bar where the alleged assault occurred in 2016. Court documents state that Kevin Spacey's accuser recorded part of the 2016 incident on Snapchat

A young man who accused Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting him at a seaside restaurant near Boston in 2016 filmed part of the incident, according to court filings.

The 59-year-old star of the 'House of Cards' series, who has won two Oscars, is due to be formally charged on January 7 on the island of Nantucket with 'indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 years of age.'

If found guilty, Spacey could face up to five years in jail.

The young man, identified as William Little and aged 18 at the time of the alleged assault in July 2016, told police he had sent messages, including a video, to his girlfriend via the Snapchat app from the 'Club Car' restaurant in Nantucket, where he was working as a bus boy for the summer, according to the court filing.

And another gold digger!

From the article:  "To date, 30 men have made public allegations about the actor."

So that would be 30 "gold diggers" dating back to 1986.  Quite the conspiracy.

What this statement 'indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 years of age.' mean, if him was 18 years old at that time??? So him was not a minor!!!

Conspiracy?

or someone else jumping on the band wagon?

personally, I was leaning away from spacey, but now I’m less convinced, as recording your own assault seems kind of hard to swallow.

Well snogard and the rest, indecent assault and battery on someone over 14 means it's not sexual assault on a minor. I'm sure he recorded it because in today's society, folks just like you believe he is not the victim here but somehow the person to blame. Regardless of the number of others who have complained. He was plied with alcohol "but drank too much", was touched but he videotaped it so others could see it happened so he must have wanted it even though this occurred before anyone else had ever voiced a complaint.  Typical response!

If some guy had tried to touch me up against my will at 18, I don't think my reaction would have been to record the action.

It's hard to take pictures while punching another guy's lights out.

The boy is probably bisexual or gay since he allowed this to happen .

I don't know.

Maybe.

In any case it really shouldn't matter what his orientation might be in the case of a sexual assault accusation.

His mother's loud insistence that he was a straight man at the time is kind of obnoxious.

Again, it doesn't matter.

He clearly was no angel lying about his age and accepting the drinks though and there is an overall question about his credibility.

Spacey on the other hand is clearly predatory. It's not just one accusation, there is a definite pattern that is known about him over the years.

Some successful and/or famous gay (the same as straight) men let their success go to their heads (big and small) and think they are above the law and just start grabbing "things" willy nilly without consent, if you know what I'm saying, wink wink nod nod, say much more.

Do you know me that you think you know what I believe? For sure not!!!
So not talk about what I believe!!!

what is the correct protocol to make a pass at someone these days without it becoming a 'sexual assault'?

I would have thought somebody sitting, chatting, drinking, laughing and making videos with you would be enough to make Kevin think there might be a chance of things going further.. if the guy wasn't 'gay' or 'interested' he would have had plenty of opportunities to walk away.

Stupid guy.  He can't have been that upset about it... he did not even leave when it was happening.  He stayed around to get a phot of the guy for his snapchat or something!  Really?  He kept accepting drinks of him too.  Lied about his age.  Does not even say to stop touching him or anything.  Then even videos it happening and sends it to his GF.  Not some innocent young boy being molested.  However, the behaviour of Kevin is well out of line, but saying its assault and BATTERY of some just over 14 is over reaction.

Ya know it would be really nice to read the front page of any national newspaper and not see some sordid story of a celebrity being  accused of a sexual misdemeanour.

I like Kevin Spacey for his acting and don't believe he is guilty.

Well he might not be guilty of a technical crime in this instance but he is guilty of being a major league jerk. I love his acting.

Well, whenever an incident like this goes down all of a sudden there’s numerous others who suddenly come out of the woods, and most likely quite a few of them are gold diggers.

Maybe you should actually have a look at the documented history of this one particular person before assuming he's Mr. Innocent. There is just way too much smoke on him.

Maybe you should’ve read my previous comment in which I’ve explicitly stated that I’m not saying that Spacey is innocent. Where there’s smoke there’s fire, no doubt about it, but in almost every case so far there’s been people trying to cash in. What I find funny about it is the fact that the accuser, who was not of legal age to be drinking, downed 5 beers and some whiskey and was still coherent enough to take videos and send them to his girlfriend. I normally don’t drink, but I know if I had 5 beers and some whiskey I wouldn’t be able to do that anymore. So there’s that. It just sounds like a set up to me.
