NYE 31 Dec 2018 Jomtien / Pattaya recommendations

Featured Replies

Googling and Forum searching hasnt revealed much at all.

My preferences: Fun, but not crazy people out of their minds.

I dont mind splashing a few baht, but not several thousand.

Havent been here for NYE before but I suspect transport after midnight might be an issue.

Living in Jomtien but can go to Pattaya.

Would be pleased to find out where the fireworks will be, and perhaps a decent viewpoint.

Your thoughts please.

Cheers, and a fantastic 2019 to you all.

Fireworks basically anywhere along Beach Road is fine but near Central Festival would be one of the better locations.  Last NYE they were 360 degree fireworks from Bali Hai Pier to Wongamat.  Short but quite the spectacle.

I have some beer and food in the fridge and a comfortable reclining chair with a nice view of the Jomtien fireworks.

I wont be going outside at all.

You can also watch in comfort via TV channel Mono29.

The only problem with going out tonight is that it's almost impossible to get transport home at 12-1.00 am so you have to walk. Not fun after a few beers.

You know all those misfits you see on a daily basis stumbling along Beach Road and hope you never see them again?  Well, be prepared my friend, all the crazies will be out and about on the night of New Year's Eve.....best crawl under your bed and hope for the best....my LEAST favorite time of the year....Songkran might be in my top two? ????????

Not the same firework as last year, a bit disappointing here in the Naklua area.   Anyway 2018 is over, cheers.
