I guessed the reason was your refusal to provide them with the requisite details. How exactly do you envisage them providing you with a cash refund? If you cannot come up with a practical and sensible answer, then how can you expect them to solve your issue? Give them your local bank account details or provide those of a friend, in so they can expedite the refund. -

I don't know, really I don't. I think there may be compounding issues. One is the sheer volume, another is the limited paths available for the release, a third is the location of the main reservoir directly North of Chiang Mai and not that far away (50kms). I do know they have been releasing water into the irrigations klongs for months previously because we see it as it crosses our garden. So they were aware of a building problem, weeks/months ago. -

This doesn't surprise me either.... miss the turn off did we? Easy just back up and then turn off. Seen it happen many a time in Thailand.
