Sir Tom Jones wondered whether he was to blame for wife Linda's death

Sir Tom Jones said the lyrics of his wife Linda’s favourite Bob Dylan song made him question whether he could have done more to save her life.

 

The 78-year-old singer, who met Linda at high school in Pontypridd, revealed the song prompted him to ask himself if he was partly to blame for his wife’s death.

 

Sir Tom told The Mirror: “I was reading into the lyrics thinking: ‘Jesus Christ, was I partly to blame?’”

 

Linda was 75 when she died of lung cancer in April 2016 and the couple had been married for almost six decades.
