Just thought I would let you know about my very pleasant experience in gaining my recent retirement extension in Phuket.  I had just been out of the country so on Monday went down to Immigration to complete the TM30 reporting address procedure.  At the same time I asked the requirements for renewing my extension.  I was using the money in the bank route so needed to get a letter from the bank and a copy of the last 3 months statement printout. Also required are copies of bank book and last three months of that. Copies of virtually every page in passport that pertains to entering, staying or leaving Thailand including latest entry slip.  Two forms filled in TM7 (I think) and another telling me that I must be a good boy or they can throw me out. An A4 sized photo of me standing outside my house showing substantially all of the house and the house number. One photo for the back of the TM7 form.  All photocopies signed.  I duly fronted on Wednesday morning, and was finished within the hour.  Collected my passport with extension and 90 day report form in it at 1 pm on Thursday, taking all of 3 minutes.  An easy and relatively painless exercise.

Good report. All the threads and zillion comments are regarding changes to income method. Guess your report is making it even more obvious that "bank method" may be used by more people going forward.

Note that it should have to be that way, just harder now without embassy letter, for some
