Locating a Monk

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to locate a monk? The person I am looking for is a monk (a career monk), and I am trying to find out which temple he is currently resident at. It is a Thai person, and I know his name in Thai and ID number. Thank you!

Yes you go back to where you first found that monk he will have told somebody where he was going next then you go there and ask where he went from there these are the steps to follow a monk he may move fast or slow I don’t know if he’s  A forest monk or a temple monk you don’t leave much information. I am at Thai Buddhist monk for 11 years this is how I would try to find a monk.  Hey monk will always tell somebody usually a friend or a higher monk where he is going

Thanks; in other words, there is no official registration or directory kept anywhere of what monks are assigned to which temples?

The headquarters of the sect that he ordained in (Wat Boronives or Wat Mahathat) will know where he ordained but I doubt they'll track his movements after that.

Listen to Thaimonk, he has the best answer.

I had nothing to go on, so had a cop friend look up his current registered address; it was the address of the temple where he is currently in residence. Thank you for the suggestions.
