webfact Posted March 15, 2019 Share Posted March 15, 2019 Thai man charged with murder of friend claims self-defense Picture: Sanook A Thai man - furious that his friend had phoned to demand 500 baht for the rent - went to confront him at his house in Soi Yoo Suk 34 of Muang district of Samut Prakarn.. There a melee developed and Han, 56, was fatally stabbed in the thigh. Phaen Moowattana fled the scene on a motorbike. He was later arrested in a taxi at a toll booth in the early hours of Thursday morning. He said Han called him to demand 500 baht that another friend owed him for rent. He explained that the other guy was not staying with him anymore and to sort it out with him. A foul mouthed argument developed over the phone before Phaen went over to confront him. Phaen was drunk - he had been drinking with his friends at the time of the call. He claimed that Han went for him with a wooden object before he picked up a knife that was lying around to protect himself. Police have charged him with premeditated murder and detained him. Tighten a belt or rope around it. Reach in and pinch it closed. Get to a hospital or doctor clinic. It is a serious injury but did it have to be deadly?
