Power cuts to hit Cherng Talay

PHUKET: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) Thalang office has announced that the electricity supply will be shut off in Cherng Talay on Friday (Mar 22) as works are carried out on installing new high-voltage power cables.

Australia cuts annual immigrant cap 15 percent, puts key cities off-limits to some

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia on Wednesday cut its annual intake of immigrants by nearly 15 percent, and barred some new arrivals from living in its largest cities for three years, in a bid to ease urban congestion.

Thanathorn’s blind trust move comes under criticisms

Kamala doubles up on ozone wastewater-treatment for filthy canal

PHUKET: A second ozone generator water-treatment machine is being installed at the Pak Bang Canal in Kamala and will come online this Friday (Mar 22) in the hope of cleaning the filthy water that now runs through the channel.

PHUKET:-- The man who shot two people at a beauty spa south of Phuket Town yesterday before turning the gun on himself had “snapped” after repeated rebukes by one of his victims at the spa, where he worked, police revealed today (Mar 20).

Appeals Court upholds ex-soldier’s murder conviction
