Just wondering if anyone had recommendations for policy/insurance company for condos rented out to third party, ie not owner occupied.

The building itself will be insuring the structure of the building so you should only need contents and liability insurance. This includes decoration/renovation costs and also covers water leaks.

 

Several insurers do this and the premium is usually around 2,500B/year per 1MB insured.

 

This should be applicable to rented units also but I would expect theft or malicious damage caused by tenants to be specifically excluded.
