seems a senseless question, as Mr PHUU yai director has clearly stated he does not intend at all to retake on the money losing bisnis and is about selling/long time leasing out the old KLM-747s. in fact it seems even its first and last straw line, the BKk-Ranong flights dont run anymore.

The EU have removed the current flight ban on Phuket Air serving EU airports. However they have banned most of Pakistan International (PIA) apart from their Boeing 777s.

Would Phuket Air have any remaining aircraft that can fly that far?

They kept their Bangkok - Ranong route, that was the last I heard about the airline that should not have existed.

Happy flying

:D

Here's 'HS-VAC' at Gatwick in Jan '05... snapped by myself prior to boarding her for the non-stop direct flight to BKK

I absolutely remember this as the scruffiest, oldest, tired and weary looking aircraft - both inside and out - that i ever flew on....

It was sub 450GBP return and at the time of booking i couldn't believe i'd got such a great price for a direct flight !!

Back then, a very shoddy airline in my experience...

Here's HS VAC again, prior to being sold to Phuket Air...

The battered looking, number 3 engine missing, KLM PH-BUU in storage at Schiphol in Nov '03

This 24yr old aircraft first flew in 1983

...and here is Phuket Air HS-VAC once again in her old clothes landing at Princess Juliana Airport, St Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles back in July 1996

The most awsome airport in the world !!! they really do scrape that beach on approach...

she wins my respect for landing here... change of heart, i'd fly her again.
