I have a Folding Arm Awning and Vertical blinds on my house. There can be wind problems with Folding Arm Awnings (this could be worse on a condo). The Vertical Blinds run up and down on steel cables, so cannot get blown away. They also have the advantage of keeping the rain out.

I would recommend Home & Awning. They have a small shop in front of Bann & Beyond next to Big C on Sukhumvit.

Less than half the price of other companies I approached. Still working fine after nine years (all I have done is changed the batteries in the remotes).

Have you checked that you are allowed to install an awning, most condominiums have strict rules on what you are allowed to do on the outside of the building?

In my condo (when I still had a condo) they even came and check when we put the Washing Machine onto the balcony.

Fortunately no problem !
