Good beaches and places to stay south of Pattaya?

Featured Replies

I see that I cannot open any topics in the Pattaya forum so next best closest place in for Bangkok. Can anyone suggest an area south of Pattaya and Jomtien that has nice water and beach and nice places to rent having family with me to stay for a couple of days? Prices? I am a bit tired of Jomtien and Hua Hin and Kho Samet is a bit far to drive from Bangkok too. Also if I did choose Kho Samet, is there any safe place to park your car? I do not want my new car stolen if taking a boat out to an island.

Ban Chang has nice hotels and even rental houses but it depends on what sort of beach you want. Forget surf.

Koh Chang. ????

Friend of mine just been to koh Chang. Said it was very quiet and said youd have to walk out 500m on the beach to get wet. Only ankle deep. Is that right?

Went to a place like that just south of hua hin. Bangsapan. Beach looked lovely but forget having a swim, water very shallow. That and the most savage wild dogs Ive ever seen.

Why not try beaches in Rayong?

There isn’t any the sewerage still floats down for Pattaya. Took 3hrs to float by Bang Saray recently. And certainly don’t let you family swim in the filth.

Too many plastic factories in Rayong! My wife's brother's wife just recently passed away of cancer she'd gotten from working at one of the plastic factories. And she's not the only one, the death rate is very high.
