Does anyone here here use Pacific Internet in Thailand ? Any comments (apart from the cost) ?

I am a regional It Mnger for a large MNC in Asia

I had Pacific Internet quote me for something and it was outrageous - the salesman trid some dodgy tactics lets say and i had to remeind him who he was and who I was. He also got a bit of shit from his manager over it.

I know socially one of the VP's (well she has just moved to Sun Microsystems) and gave them the opportunity to quote because of that - I now regret this as the saleman was a little shit.

Thanks for that.

I also got an expensive quote from them.

But they do have a direct connection to the data centre in HK and that is where my company hosts it's servers and part of it's WAN.

I used PacInt dial-up for a few days, and found that my VPN connection was a lot faster than with a 256/128 True "broadband" !!

So, I am therefore considering PacInt's broadband service. But, from what I understand of local ISPs, they are all shared local connections, so it might not help anyway.
