hi ppl!

I just found out a today that there's something wrong with my DVD drive. I was just using it on Thursday but now the DVD drive is not even shown in My Computer. When I go to the device manager, the device status says "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware (Code 37)."

Is there a way that i can fix this by myself? Or all i can do is go to a shop and let them fix it?

thanks

It sounds like the driver has somehow been corrupted, you can try deleting the driver, then "add hardware" from within "control panel" let windows do a search, it should then find your DVD player again and reinstall the driver. Or you could also try a "roll back", if you need more detailed instuctions on either option just ask :o
