Monk Leads Elephants “Khun Saen” & “Saen Thap” to Deliver Supplies to Flood Victims
What about the army? During some extensive flooding about 6-7 years ago in Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon, the then prime minister ordered military rescue teams with rescue crafts to travel hundreds of kilometres from Central Thailand to assist in rescue efforts and to help supply food, water and medications to those isolated by flood waters - have there been any reports of similar efforts this year? -

President Kamala Harris
Strange comment, 'if everyone thought their vote mattered...'. Everyone's vote should matter, and be of equal value. It is indeed sad that the Electoral College results in so many votes not mattering at all, with the votes rendered in some states mattering so much more than those in other states. Bad system, which 63% of Americans want to get rid of. America was 'humming along', as you say, largely due to Obama, not Trump. Wages were on a steady upward trend under Obama. Jobs were on a steady upward trend, since 2010 under Obama. Unemployment was on a steady downward trend, since 2010 under Obama. All of these trends continued under Trump, but they began with the Obama administration. Since Trump lost in a landslide in 2020, it seems American voters didn't give him too much credit for the economy, or anything else. The graphs below clearly show what I am talking about. Note 2017, when Trump jumps into the pilot's seat. The steady trajectories continue, with nary a blip. The US economy, like a large super tanker, does not turn on a dime. Of course, the same is true for 2021, when Biden took over the pilot's seat from Trump. For better or worse, Biden would be dealing with the economy he inherited from Trump. -

Is Thailand Value for money
There's also no mention, that all or any of those, are not eaten at home. Seems you read that into the reply. I could list all those, and as I stated, 90%, at least, of our dining is done in house, home cooked. Rarely do we eat out, so any of those would be prepared in a healthier version ... usually. I think the most unhealthiest thing I eat in house, is tater tots, since off most flour/grains now. Even deep fried, but eat them so infrequent, along with a good serving of protein, doubt very much if it spikes my sugar/insulin much. Along with a nice stroll afterwards. -

Huge markup on imported foods. Why?
Yes.... Last time I was in NZ I went to a local bakery (I try and support local businesses where I can). The pies looked ok but no prices were shown. Can't be too expensive I thought. WRONG! $11.50 and the quality was poor. Really dry pastry and bland filling. I later found the price list on a sign attached to the entrance door! I'll never go there again. If they want the customers they need to provide top quality products and service for those prices. -
