My Thai stepson has a common law relationship with a chinese girl, but she is in Thailand illegally.

They have given me two beautiful grand children.

I want to try an resolve the girl's situation to avoid grief for them in the future.

The girl came in across the border with Laos.

I want to get her back to China safely

She may be able to get the papers from China to approach the Chinese Embassy here for a passport.

Then leave the country, paying a fine??? Any idea on that?

The idea is that once she is back in China she can

apply for a Non Imm O to re-enter legally and marry my step son.

She is already the registered mother of the children, who are Thai citizens.

How is she registered as the mother of the children? Did she provide falsified documents?

If the right people have been paid...

I know this happens, but please do not ask how I know.

If you are for real, talk to one of the “right people” and he can assist you, for example with the following:

– arrange with Immigration in advance that when the Chinese lady turns herself in she will not have to languish in a detention cell for days but will immediately be brought before a judge

– find out who the judge will be

– arrange with the judge that the lady will be sentenced immediately to pay a fine and be deported

– obtain information from the judge in advance how much the fine and court fees will be

This way, your stepson can pay the fine and costs right away and the lady is off on plane to China.

This is probably what a good lawyer would do. If you do not know the “right man”, get a good lawyer, then. Probably less expensive, too.

check with lawyers that deal with china and thailand before u send her off to a possibly one way trip. sometimes being honest upfront and clean doesnt always work out the way we want it to work.

why dont u check first with the MFA etc???
