Palestinians deserve self-determination but uncertain they can govern themselves - Kushner

Their own worst enemy, they have never displayed any interest in a two state solution, just one- their own. They could have had 80% of the land in the 30's and 50% when Israel was formed, and a few times since but they turned down a homeland every single time. They continue to attack Israel while biding their time still planning for it's destruction, they are idiots.

  • Kushner is as much a mediator for regional peace as Blair was. They are/were both there to monetize their political power and connections. "Kushner has been drafting his plan under a veil of secrecy"

An American Jew tell the Palestinians what to do or not to do. What could possibly go wrong?

How many Jews even recognize that someone should listen to the Palestinians? It's not that I think all Jews are bad. I am sure some of them care and want to live peacefully with their neighbors.

Before you take your seat at the negotiating table and bring peace to the region , you need to do some homework and understand the history and the present .

Palestinians rejected statehood in 1948  , they didnt want Jewish areas on the land .

Now the present : Palestinians still do not want Jewish areas on the land , they want a hard line Islamic state with Sharia law on every inch of Israel , although they will allow Jews to live there with Palestinian citizenship

since when do the Palestinians want sharia law? Where did you get this nonsense from? You sound like a true, racist, with no knowledge of Islam. Perhaps you don't even realise that most Muslims do not accept sharia law. Probably only about 5%. Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh and many other countries which constitute the majority of Muslims have a secular government.

Very secular indeed

Hamas imposes Sharia law in Gaza https://www.voltairenet.org/article183090.html

Palestinian Authority: 85% say they want Sharia law http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/226083

Islamism in the Gaza Strip involves efforts to promote and impose Islamic laws and traditions in the Gaza Strip. The influence of Islamic groups in the Gaza Strip has grown since the 1980s.[citation needed] Following Hamas' victory in the 2006 Palestinian electionsand a conflict with supporters of the rival Fatah party, Hamas took complete control of the Gaza Strip,[1][2][3] and declared the "end of secularism and heresy in the Gaza Strip"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamism_in_the_Gaza_Strip

I would have raised the same observation regardless of who made the statement, which despite your attempt to deflect remains a line of argument written across the history of imperialism and oppression of others.

Hey but let's only have observations on your terms.

Allow me to doubt that, you chime in on cue when it comes to these topics. And for all the bluster, still no much by way of actual comment as to how this relates to the OP, it's headline or pretty much anything.

As said, hollow.

He wasn't telling the Palestinians what to do or not to do. He was raising doubts as to their ability to self govern, and highlighting several related problematic issues. Being an Assange and free media fan, you probably already know that neither the Palestinian Authority nor the Hamas are much into that sort of thing, right?

Perhaps you should read up a little, or explore the World, before issuing strong statements. The Hamas is definitely an Islamic movement, and their vision of a future Palestine is hardly secular. While they do not represent all Palestinians, they do command wide public support.
