Bangkok police have arrested a father and his son and another man for allegedly robbing a musician of his motorcycle.

Metropolitan Police commissioner Lt Gen Sutthipong Wongpin announced the arrest of Kamolchai Jeenrod, 41, Polchai Jeenrod, 19, who is Kamolchai’s son, and Chuchart Pongpan, 30.

Sutthipong said the three were arrested at their rented room in Bangkok’s Thung Khuru district at 6:30am on Tuesday.

The arrest was made following an investigation after a musician, Sanya Suebsan, 32, was robbed of his motorcycle at a noodle shop at 3:30am on May 29.

Sanya told police that the three suspects came on two motorcycles, beat him and took his motorcycle away.

The three suspects reportedly told police that they also stole six other motorcycles last month in Bangkok, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon to sell the parts.
