I apologise for posting a photo of my right foot!  (I did this last year, but the condition has worsened a little).

The ugly bunion has been there for perhaps 30 years.  It doesn't hurt and never seems to get worse.

But now I noticed a bony bump on the first joint of my second toe.  It also doesn't hurt at all, but Dr Google suggests that it is a hammer toe.

I run every day, wearing very pliable Adidas running shoes that are not a tight fit.  My running/gait is not affected by either the bunion or the emerging hammer toe.

However, I wonder if there is anything that I can do to minimise or reduce the development of the hammer toe and bunion.

I see many 'correction' plasters and gel products on Lazada that purport to help with these types of problem.  My question is simple - do these actually help?

The older I get, the more I find an annual visit to a podiatry clinic for a quick check and tidy up useful.

These protectors from Scholl provide a good cushion if you have any toe pain from one toe rubbing against another.

For the hammertoe (but not the bunion) toe separaters can help and you can get from Lazada

https://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=toe+separater&_keyori=ss&from=input&spm=a2o4m.home.search.go.1125719cc1lfIA

For the bunion Lazada also has buinion splints but I suggest you do a search ion Amazon first to see what types work best
