I need some help from you guys !!!

A bit worry ....

i will do it simple .....

i went to an agency recently and the guy not a Thai ..Said that after looking for my passport that i can go to Penang consulate easy without trouble !!!!

but easy with immigration is never too easy !!!!

visa tourist one entry

he say only need 2 pictures

copy passport

1900 bath

proof that i earn more than 20000 bath

the owner of my room will write a letter attesting that i rented the place for more than 20 months

but she dont want to give a copy of her ID card so i worry that the embassy ask for it !!!

and the guy from the agency said that near the embassy can find some guy to make a round trip ticket  that is needed ? am confuse about what date to give cause i can definitely do it by myself but the exact date may be different from the visa stamp that they will give me ...

So right now am just worry about this ... round trip ticket ... for where for when ????

So the first year i did it easy

tourist visa one entry

extension

then visa student one year

extension

went back to france for 4 days lol come back 30 days more

extension

went by plane and come back to kl

extension again

then visa run to ranon twice and twice extension

so i guess it is time to make a visa .....

So i hope you will give me some good idea not to stress too much and to be good for the next months to come ????

Thanks in advance !!

take a look at this recent thread.  it appears penang may not be the best choice.

i would suggest you have the owner of your room write a letter that says you have a future booking that ties in with the dates of your pending/new tourist visa.  i would not hand immigration one that says you've been staying there for 20 months.  you must do your best to appear to be a tourist.  staying at the same place for nearly two years does not fit a tourist profile.

i don't know how you like to travel but you could fly to saigon, get a tourist visa there then travel by bus to phnom penh, stay a night or two, then then cross into thailand via land border.  but don't use poipet as an entry point.  if you enter near utapao airport, you could stay a night there and fly to phuket.

visa runs aren't as easy as they used to be. once you've done a few, immigration gives you extra scrutiny. land border entries are better than airport entries.

sound like a wonderful trip !!!!  sound risky .. thanks for your suggestion ... if you think that the best option at the moment will think about it !!! have 16 days to planify it ......

does there is another visa that could be better than the tourist visa? maybe another ed Visa?

feeling a bit worry ...

i did a long run without visa lol ...so a bit scary .......

i stayed in thailand for long periods on visa exempt entries and tourist visas (now i'm over 50 so i don't have to use that method to live here).  i don't know anything about ed visas but that might be better for you.  as i recall, there is no limit to ed visas.  since you got one before, you know how to do it.  unless another member here disagrees, i'd say go with another ed visa.

thanks .... i said Penang cause it close from phuket ....

Penang is not a good option now for a tourist visa. Neither is Phnom Penh.

KL, Vientiane, Savannakhet, Hong Kong, Yangon are possibilities. Hanoi or Saigon are good options, and if you're on a French passport you'll get 15 days visa free entry to Vietnam.

No need to show 20k baht in a bank.

A ticket out and proof of accommodations is needed.

Click tourist visa on this page to see their checklist for them and a link for appointments at the bottom of the page.

One ticket out of Thailand and one from Malaysia to Thailand (perhaps a train ticket to the border).

Explain to her that Thailand will never know about the letter and thus no problem to supply a copy of her ID card with a diagonal line across it and stating the reason for the copy.

Bear in mind you will need to have at least 20000 baht or equivalent in cash on re-entering the country.

Not to the embassy, but to have on your person in case of being asked at the border or airport. Chances are very slim you'd be required to show the money, but if they're looking for a reason to deny entry, this is often top of the list. There's many threads on this topic, here's one example.

last time at ranong they asked and i said i dont have it with money too dangerous to travel with lot of cash..they almost deny my entry i had to persuade them and do a bit of drama to get the job done... i got super lucky they refuse the entry to 5 person before my turn .... so i got super super lucky !!!!!!!!!!!!!

at the airport when i come back  using my privilege as a french citizen for the Visa exemption ... that one i really want to do it again but am scare it wont work ..... so when i did it that time the guys went away for 5 long minutes and come back and say ok no problem but still went away for 5 long mminutes ....... when i came back after one week from france even in germany the lady were suspiscious and check her computer for a long time and when i arrived in bangkok for the control i got super lucky it was 3 super sexy thaie lady officer and she compliment me and she look for a long time and say you dont have visa i said am french i left by plane and come back i got 30 days ..... and she compliment me more i respond with a WAI and deal done... but yeah ... am on a record i think the best would be to do a visa student again   ...... i think that visa student stamp allowed me to repeat for 16 months that kind of behavior with the visa run by plane and by land .... and for the extension they never ever ask for money and they never complain or tell me anything special ........... just having a bad feeling for this time for the right thing to do ........

Posted

the problem about the visa student 6 months or 12 months ? is that i want to move from phuket to the north .... everything good in phuket but time to mmove to the north more traditional thailand that i miss a lot ...so if i do a visa student that will complicate the move to another place .....that why at first i didnt renew the visa student and we still didnt move and that why i want to prepare ourself to a departure to the north of thailand and if i do the student visa it will not help doing so ....

That would be the round trip from here to Malaysia and back.

You then need a ticket out of Thailand to show the embassy. Many will accept one within 90 days. You can use a low cost one way flight to any nearby country from any airport here that has international flights.

so i asked last week to a visa run agency he said you never been to penang and he said that i can do it three times

and i asked to the guy to who i bought a visa run transfer to ranong he just said the same thing that i can do it for three time without trouble ........

so question is : should i trust them ?

two OK for PENANG !!!!

maybe the fact that i never been there could be in my favor ?????

Option that i been dreaming about lol ....

What if i use my privilege as french passport holder to leave the country by plane ......Stay minimum two days and come back by land ? with the appropriate document in my possession for returning to thailand by land ????

option 3 another student visa ......

option 4 going back to france for minimum one month and make a visa to thai embassy in france?

option 5 ? get a job and get a work permit ?

option 6 ? marry my girlfriend and make her pregnant lol ? we been together for two year almost but yeah that option 6 at the moment lol

PS: thanks guys for your replies ???? really appreciate it.

Marriage VISA also needs income or money in bank account...

It depends upon what you are calling a marriage visa.

It is possible to get a single or multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage without any financial proof.

A extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon marriage issued by immigration requires 400k baht in the bank or proof of 40k baht income.
