Police called to disturbance at UK PM candidate Johnson's home

If we go right back to the genesis of this, as reported by the BBC:

1. The police were called to the premises occupied by Boris and his mistress by a neighbour
2. The neighbour had already recorded the disturbance
3. The police decided there were no issues for them and departed
4. The neighbour contacted the newspapers with his recording
5. The police denied they had been called out
6. The police were then played the recording
7. The police subsequently admitted they had been called out and there was nothing to detain them

And now we are where we are

Lets face facts here..it is muck raking by people who want to make a mountain out of a molehill.
How many " domestics " do you honestly think the police are called out to UK wide.
This instance being obviously a " leftie champagne socialist " who saw a chance to make a name for himself..just a typical 2 minute grassing wonder imho.

Lets be realistic and honest here .

Boris is in the running to be UK PM and theres the likely hood that he will take the UK out of the EU with no deal .

This story is just part of the smear campaign to try and stop that .

A smear campaign supported by the same people who do not accept democracy and attack people with milkshakes .

People who do not accept other peoples opinion and will try to silence them ,"perfect "people who never argue and are quick to call others "racist, fascist, bigot , liar , violent thugs , dishonest " .......................whilst behaving in exactly that way themselves

At the end of the day, this is mostly about politically motivated neighbours who, on hearing boris and his g/f having a loud argument thought it would be a good idea to record the argument and then make a report to the police.

 

My 'politically motivated' comment is justified by the fact that after the police had established it was just a loud argument - the neighbours decided to nonetheless contact the guardian with their recording......

There are many potential reasons - she may feel conflicted over giving a press release - for a few reasons, she may have connived with Boris to stay slient to keep themselves out of the press in a negative context, she may have been told in no uncertain terms by BoJo's PR people that she's not allowed to discuss it or she may simply feel it's none of anyone's business! I tend to agree with you that a brief soundbite to explain the situation may have helped it go away faster, but - who's to say whatever explanation given would have been believed anyway - it seems unlikely that rabid anti-Tories or anti-Boris folk would have believed her in any event, but I'll defer to you on that one ????.  In any case - I would happen to agree with her if she did think it was of no concern to the public and actually a private matter. As many have stated and IS common knowledge - the police were called by their nosey, political-point scoring neighbours and their hopes of a scandal were dashed when the police left moments later satisfied NOTHING untoward had happened and that all concerned were fine. That's the point here - it was a lover's tiff, why do we as the public need to be notified of the context of it!? 

 

And moreover, since you seem to think you're the authority on all things Brexit and have delighted in explaining to others that we've 0 chance of leaving the EU on Oct 31st without a deal and that in fact it's near impossible for the UK to ever leave without one, but that if we did it would be a disaster beyong all reckoning - I'd ask you the following:

 

Are you some kind of mystic? Do you know what the future holds not only for the UK, but for the global economy and perhaps most pertinently for the EU? If so - do tell!!!

 

While it's true that MPs will do all they can do stop the UK from leaving without a deal, it is by definition of the fact that article 50 is legally binding - that it becomes a legal statue that we MUST leave by the end of it's extension (unless of course it is re-extended) - as invoked by MPs back in 2017. If we don't have a deal that can both satisfy the HoC and the EU by 30/10 then it is definitely possible that we will leave by law and without a deal. It is also very likely that a no confidence vote will be called which would trigger a snap general election, this would be utterly ridiculous and would probably lead to a form of Brexit ennui that may bring people to riot in the streets or maybe hang themselves from exasperation! So I wouldn't assume it will be the first choice by MPs if they have an alternative - knowing just how thoroughly fed up the public are at this stage. There is also the possibility that the new PM would prorogue parliament to enact an exit that can't be challenged by the house - as ill-advised and extreme as that may be, it still could happen. 

 

The potential benefits of Brexit to our future economic health are one aspect of a multi-faceted argument for leaving and are debatable all day long (another thread another time), with many in senior positions of insight arguing both for and against - but the reality is neither you nor anyone else has ANY concrete knowledge of what will happen in 2, 5 or 10 years time should we actually Brexit. There is also more at stake here than simply national economics too, something that most pro-remain people pay little attention to or seem to care about at all, they're usually far too busy telling us xenophobic dolts who voted Leave how thick and delusional we all are, sound familiar? Bear in mind the same group of people fell into a similar hysteria regarding our reluctance to join the Eurozone and the ERM - and look how both have those did/would have worked out. ????
