Fake Scam Letters - Details From Land Office

Featured Replies

Hi

Anyone know if any fake scam letters are doing the rounds at the moment or having similar letters received by post.  My wife lives with myself for 20 years oversees and we have only one piece of land in NE/Thailand with a house on it.  Lately we have received letters with call back numbers saying that please call us about your land in Rayong which is going to be taken back and they will "apparently" help us join with a group of other land owners to stop this happening. The first thing is just wonder how they got our address in NE/Thailand in the first place and cut and stuck it on an envelope and second my wife does not own any land in Rayong so just wanted to see if anyone else is having same type of fake scam letters arrive in the post.

Thanks.

I'm quite sure there are none. I have only received genuine scam letters, no fakes. ????

Take it to the local land office and see what they say.

OP states both he and his wife are overseas, so how do you expect him to take it to the local land office?

Check online for the telephone number of the land office rayong and call there. For sure they wrote a number for the land title in the letter. So it will be easy for check. If your wife don't have land there, than don't worry!!!
