Been "ripped-off" by so called "lawyers lately!

Featured Replies

dear friends, just thought i'd let you know; i have had to use a lawyer here in Thailand a few times. so have many of my friends and aquaintences. also i have read of Farangs being charged ridiculous fees for minor work such as translation of docs. etc., etc., i had the good fortune to come across a "good" lawyer, who helped me tremendously when i had some unforseen problems arise!! This good Thai lady is based in Chiang-mai, but will travel to you if neccessary. Foe e.g. i was once charged 5000 baht to just get a document "bank-related" translated and signed by an attoeney , stamped etc., the problem reared it's unwanted head yet again, and luckily by this time i had met this good lady. her "price" for SAME work; 1,500 baht!! since then many people i know have seen her regarding marriages, visa problems and on and on! she seems to have all the right contacts in all the right places. she is quick, reliable, discreet, and CHEAP!!! obviously for ethical reasons, i cannot "advertise" her name etc., but if any of you need any legal help, please feel free to contact me, and i'll pass on contact details. sorry, no offence meant to our good Thai people, but sometimes it get's a bit "heavy" being ripped off, and not being able to do anything about it!! cheers, "seesaw"
