In an effort to eliminate marine plastic debris, the 10 member states of ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asia Nations) has adopted “The Bangkok Declaration on Combating Marine Debris in the ASEAN Region” at the recent 34th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok.

ASEAN officials describe the document as a testament to the group’s joint attempts to address the problem in a serious and sustainable manner.

Commitment, education, education, attitudes of the  public as well as government sector, are relevant,

communities need to also drive the recycling and reduction,

and use and supply of rubbish bins, and OH !

emptying such bins.

Don't worry we can rely on Asia, Australia was paying Indonesia to take plastic waste. They took the money they took the waste and then promptly dumped it all into a local river.

Among Thai people there is virtually no interest in recycling apart from the poor souls that try to make some sort of living by picking up bottles and cans and even they discard anything that won't bring them reward.

One look around the roads anywhere in the Rural area's tells you how much Thai's care about the environment !
