Transport wish list for new minister

The Ministry of Transport is preparing a list of proposed projects for approval by the new minister, with most relating to railways in line with the government's policies to improve public transport and cut logistics costs for businesses.

 

Permanent secretary Chaiwat Thongkamkoon said that he did not envisage any concerns with the projects from the incoming minister, Saksayam Chidchob, as the new government's policies align with those already in place. Most of the projects are already listed in the national policies and master plan, he said.

 

Among the projects to be presented to Saksayam are a dual-track railway initiative, the MRT's Orange Line (Cultural Centre-Bangkhunnont section) and the Purple Line (Taopoon-Ratburana section), and a high-speed railway connecting three airports under a collaboration with China. These projects were among top priorities of the previous government and are expected to be continued by the incoming one.

 

Saksayam is expected assume office after the oath of allegiance ceremony while the current minister, Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, will continue working at the ministry until next week.

Oath of Allegiance means sh!t. Oath of Allegiance is to the pocket of said person giving the oath.

An Oath of Self Indulgence is more appropriate.

Methinks that the commissions from major projects will far exceed the costs of MB and BM vehicles...more likely mansions and land for their family banks!
