Carbon dating does not go back that far because there is no carbon in the fossils. They are usually dated from the rocks that they are found in.

If you want to see dinosaurs alive today just throw some breadcrumbs out and they will appear quickly.

Some two legged dino fossils being examined now have what we call a wishbone in the breast area.

So it looks like T-Rex could have been a big nasty chicken including feathers.

Yes.  You only have to look at the legs and feet of many modern birds - particularly the large flightless ones, to see the connection.

 

 

 

 

 

Wonder how many of the posters on this thread got as far as 80,000,000 year old dinosaur discovered in Thailand and read no further?

It was found 30 years ago and was being examined where it is now, Bonn, Germany, not on  a kitchen table in Udon-nakhon-nowhere.

I enjoyed that. As things advance in all fields it really is pointless to stand firm on what you were taught/learned at school/university.

I suppose Darwin kick started the whole thing and it just keeping better as time goes on.

I was fascinated the first time I saw a programme on puppy dogs. The pups of all different breeds all look exactly the same when newly born, maybe the colour is different but that's about it. Takes a while for the breed characteristics to appear.
