The Criminal Court is scheduled, on Wednesday, to read the verdict of the Supreme Court in a case involving seven core members of the red-shirt movement, known as the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), relating to the illegal siege of the residence of Privy Council president Prem Tinsulanonda in July 2007.

The seven defendants are former UDD chairman Veerakarn Musikapong, UDD secretary-general Natthawut Saikua, former Pheu Thai MP Weng Tochirakarn, former Pheu Thai MP Wiputhalaeng Pattanaphumthai, Wanchai Naputtha, Veerasak Hemathulin and Warut Worachitvutthikul.

They were all charged with criminal association, incitement to unrest, possession of firearms and obstruction of officials through intimidation for their role in leading more than 1,000 protesters to surround the Sisao Thewet official residence of General Prem in an attempt to force him to resign from the Privy Council presidency.

he was the mastermind behind the 2006 coup, and he was pulling strings for 2014 coup, so good on them for putting heat on the most hated persona. Worth every day in prison sentence handed out by a kanguru court

The SC found PDRC protestors not guilty for invasion of government offices in 2013/2014, whistling & yelling at civil service employees to join their protest against the government and hanging anti-government banners inside the offices. They were just exercising their freedom of speech.

But I'm sure that's a "horse of a different color."

The SC found former PM Abhisit not guilty for using military troops to crackdown on PTP street protests that resulted in shooting deaths and injury of protestors and non-protest bystanders by the  military; but held former PM Yingluck guilty of having police use tear gas and fire water cannons to disperse PDRC protestors invading government buildings and barricading public streets because protestors were just exercising their freedom of speech.

So many "horses of a different color."

When a supreme court shows no consistency in its rulings to application of the constitution and laws other than what seems from a political bias, it has failed the constitution and the sovereignty of the Thai People. This will continue until the day that the SC justices can be nominated, appointed and impeached by a legitimately elected government from an open and free election. That day has yet to arrive since 1932.

Another loony left supporter who believes the UDD to be democratic and interested in socialism rather than recognizing them as the appointed paid employees of Shin Clan PLC.

Tell us again, how were these "leaders" put into their positions?
