Purchasing and shipping the engine are not the problem. Getting Thai Customs sticky fingers off it is! They have a nasty habit of impounding things and demanding ridiculous sums to release the goods.

Anyone know someone who does Thai Customs clearance?

There are many Thai companies that specialise in the import and supply of used Japanese engines who then sell them from their stock here.  The customer in Thailand does not have to worry about that aspect unless he is trying to import an engine independently.
