Usb Mouse And Keyboard

Featured Replies

I see that there are less PS/2 keyboard(s) and mouse(s) available and more of the USB ones. Are there any noticeable advantages in using USB as opposed to PS/2. Among the disadvantages I think would be two less available USB ports if both mouse and keyboard are USB.

The Pro's are easy:

1. connect or disconnect within working of the computer

2. all USB ports can be used for connection

The con's:

1. the keyboard may did bot work if need to new install the OS, sometime does, sometimes not

2. same with mouse

the con's special if you use a wireless Keyboard/Mouse system.

Otherwise, USB is more convinient!

Also, many systems no longer come with dedicated mouse/keyboard connections

particularly laptops.

Naka.

Yep, the PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports are going the way of the dinosaur. You're pretty much forced to use USB. The thing about a USB mouse is that the refresh rate can be pretty poor unless you use some USB-tweaks, which could affect USB stability as a whole.
