Fax Number For Mobile Phone

Featured Replies

I want to receive faxes on my mobile phone. Years ago when I was in the UK, I used a Nokia 9000 phone and the mobile network issued me with 2 mobile numbers for my single SIM, 1 number for voice calls and one for fax reception.

Now I want to do likewise here in LoS. There is a greater choice of mobile phones that support fax-reception (and sending) software. But does anyone know whether the Thai mobile networks will issue a separate mobile fax number?

(Yes, I could go and ask them straightaway, but TiT and I know it will be hard work to get this information from them.

Sawasdee, I want a mobile number to receive faxes on my mobile phone

Sorry can't help you just interested in how that works. Does the fax image show up on the mobile display or do you have to connect the phone to a PC?

You could always sign up for a fax 2 email account - assuming you have email capability on your Nokia. If you have push mail on the Nokia, you will recieve faxes as quickly as you would if you had a seperate line.

Simon, If you have an AIS sim card, then dial 1175 and push whatever number needed to get an English speaking support person.

First of they'll need to open your phone for datacalls.

Secondly they'll need to give you a number to receive the faxes on.

They actually have support staff who have a pretty good grasp of technical English, so t should work out OK...

Tywais, I'm not sure of recent phones, but I still have a Nokia communicator (9000) around somewhere, which is capable of both sending and receiving faxes. The incoming faxes are stored in the memory, and can be viewed on the screen or printed out when connected to a PC with the data-cable and using Nokia's PC suite...

I do seem to have read somewhere that the newer communicators don't have that function anymore, not sure though...
