The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the death sentence for two Burmese men convicted of murdering two British tourists on a popular island in 2014.

If it was you, in prison for double murder that you didn't do (allegedly), would you rather spend your life behind bars or be executed and be done with it ?? 

Obviously, being freed would be the ideal result so just hypothetical question ????

I don't think many of us who were following the story believe these two young men are guilty. I feel sad for them and their families. Those guys never had a chance once the RPT decided they were the easiest to pin it on.

No we don't know that,  the majority of the workers on KT are foreigners from Laos and Myanmar.  If they are innocent or not can be discussed to death. 
But I hope they will not get the death sentence, if Thailand want to avoid another media circus they should reduce their sentence instead.
