Yesterday my wife received a phone call from Ford to say that they have our new headlights in stock

It seems there is a recall but they never advised me they just phoned up and said we have the lights.  Please come and have them fitted

Anybody else aware of this problem. Google doesn’t tell me that there is a recall.

Very common today, all around the world. The left hand often doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

We have more communication tools than ever before but ..............

Probably nothing to do with that, only with not wanting to do an official recall.

Hi JAS,

Can you confirm this was not a mistake by your dealer. And if it is a genuine recall what exactly is the problem with the headlight/s as there is no info from the Pattaya dealer.

My wife took the message and booked it in....anyway as I’m not available for a few days I cancelled.  I will hopefully update when they let me out of where I am and I take it in

Does anybody know where I can look up Ford Engine spare parts by their Parts No.

I have a bill from Ford on my latest service and just want to get an accurate description of what was replaced/used.

Just a thought it's not the day time running lights???

I was out the other day and happened to see 3 Everest's with their off side running lights inoperable. You see 1 and not a problem but 3 in a matter of hours, and all off side seems a bit strange.

What flavor of Ford is it?

Ranger / Wildtrak 3.2..... 2012 I think.

Here's Ford's official service price cap list. Although is says "2015-->" (last update) it is valid for all 3.2 WT's since they came out in 2011.

Check the column for the mileage and read on the left (with translation) what was replaced and the cost.

I have a late MY 2014 and the 105k service is due in December. How many km was your last service? The 195 k is a bit rude price-wise but a lot gets changed, otherwise I haven't seen much variation from this list on my previous services. Some items got cheaper, some more expensive and some unchanged.

It is this part of the bill.

There are 40 of them . So I figure they are clips/ nuts and bolts or something along that line.

My question is , why 40 and why did they need replacing.

^ Looks like weights for wheel balancing maybe? Have you got stock rims or after market ones? Alloy or steel?

What service (km) was it BTW?

So I have just been to the Ford dealer. I can confirm that it is a recall on the early top of the range Ford Everests.  It is something to do with the leveling of the headlights.

They tell me they want the car for three or four hours to do the job.

So when it’s done I will know more and update.

I don’t think the problem is well-known. When I walked into the garage and spoke to my friendly product specialist he said he didn’t know anything about it and he is usually on the ball.....
