It was immigration that determined the outcome of the referendum not sovereignty. People whose livelihood is threatened could not care less about other issues.

There is no reason why a Labour government cannot negotiate a deal with the EU and then put that deal to the people, with some labour MPs campaigning for Brexit with that deal and others campaigning to remain in the EU. I've no time for Corbyn, but in this he is treating his MPs as individuals with their own consciences rather than the Boris/Cummings position of treating them as children to be punished for not doing as they're told!

 

As for what Corbyn said last June; most Remainers agreed with him then; I did. There was a referendum, we lost, move forward. But since then the antics of people who put personal profit above the country, like Rees-Mogg, plus the discovery of the illegal practices of the leave campaign made me change my mind.

 

Morgan, like many here, needs reminding that had Rees-Mogg, his ERG and others not stopped it, Brexit would have happened last March.

Perhaps had you known the full effects of Brexit on the UK's economy rather than just the pie in the sky promises of Cummings, maybe you'd have thought a bit more before casting your vote.

Probably housing benefit as well - I know of a casual brickie who did cash in hand for 10 years whilst having housing benefit and claimed a bad back to get disability benefit. Had a council flat and spent three months every winter in Thailand with his girlfriend(s) at the age of 65 got a full state pension. English, racist  and white as well. Probably a Leave voter as well. 

I think I know him. He was definitely a rabid Remainer. Not around Thailand anymore though, the exchange got him in the end.

Do you mean like people losing their jobs, getting in work benefits, having zero hours contracts and the introduction of food banks. Are they some of these effects?
