Hi all. I am on a language education visa, which is about to expire. My school told me that I go to the immigration myself it will be extended just 2 months. However if I go with an agent from the school it will be extended 3 months. (They charge 1500 baht for this) Sounds weird, can anyone confirm? Thanks.

I have heard that for some schools a 2 month extension was issued, others a 3 month one, and presumed the latter was making some 'donation'. 

What you say sounds credible... wait for some confirmation posting though. 

This was the case for me too. They used to call it “express line”.

Turn up at immigration in Chaengwattana, call your school, they call the officer, school calls you back and tells you where to go. No waiting for 5 hours in line, extension done in max 20minutes.

Pay around 3000 baht, but get a receipt saying only 1900.

I’m sure it’s “under the table” kinda system.

To be honest, I used it and loved to cut in line and be done with it.:))

Oh yea, and getting 3months instead of two.
