KFC Thailand won't return my 801 baht

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

I ordered from KFC last Friday.  We waited for the order to arrive and then when 45 minutes had gone by I called the call center for KFC and was told it would be delivered Saturday morning.  I should have ordered from the phone number but instead did it online and paid with my Kasikorn Web Card.

I told them to return my money.

So far, now a week later it isn't in my account.  They keep telling me that they canceled the credit card transaction.  No matter who I call, I keep getting the same type of idiot who tells me it takes 10 days to return my money.  I dont believe them.  It took seconds for them to take my money.  Why isn't it returned?

That night I ordered fried chicken from McDonalds.  Not as good, but it arrived.

    And inedible.

  • 10 days is quick. Lazda can take 14 to 30 days for refunds. Only takes them a few minutes to take our money though

It's 24 Dollars and yes, it's a lot of chicken.  I can usually eat fried chicken for 3 days with that order.

Is about the same time that Australian guy has to wait to get his 50.000 pounds back for a failed transaction. So seems to be the norm in the UK too and in Thailand.

Just relax...you will likely get your money back just as they said...

from your avatar you seem to believe on some other incredible things, so why not believe in this fairly common practice?

I doubt it.  I told them to tell the manager to get on a motorbike, and bring me 800 baht.  They can keep the 1 baht for gas money.

McDonalds does it for those of you who think that it might be a ridiculous demand.

Yes its frustrating but in truth it does take 10-14 business days to get a refund and i tell you why.

Store can not do refund through credit card machine, they actually have to fill out a form and give it to the bank to process.

Once bank receives it, it does not mean they do it right there on the spot, but do it whenever it suits them, this is why it takes 10-14 days.

Why can't they do a refund through a card machine?

For some unknown reason its not an option with local banks.

If has not settled yet, then can do void or refund, but once settlement is done, then its the form and off to the bank

Pay on delivery?

Yup, you'll likely get it eventually.  At least it's only 800 Baht but I know, it's the feeling of falling into a black hole.   Similar to the on-line "Pay and Pray" ordering things through Facebook sellers and the like.  I just got done, thankfully only 500 Baht.    Payment on delivery is preferred if possible.

I paid with cash.  My cash went from my bank directly and immediately into their bank.

How many people were you inviting for a heart attack, spending that amount on substandard "food"??

Everyone is entitled to destroy their body they way they want. Thankfully there are no laws against that yet. I eat quite healthy in general but once in a while i eat bad foods too. Thankfully we can make our own choices about that.

How amazing, that all you "holier than thou" types will tell me how bad the food is, when you get your eggs cooked in vegetable oil along with all your vegetables.  You'll eat street food with buses belching all kinds of pollutants on it, and you'll eat raw crab in the Somtom.

Oh I know, you tell them no raw crab KRAP, but they make it in the same mortar they use for the raw crab, which sits all day in the sun.

Don't be hypocrites.

I am a chef.  I know what I eat, because I cook almost everything I eat.

You will wish you ate what I cook.  That dish was made with some salsa (spicy) and marinara as a base.

Eat like a God.

I like cheese just as much as the next guy, perhaps more!

and appreciate any opportunity to talk about this heavenly gift from Dionysus,

but I fail to see how it applies to the OP's Avatar, other than Of course , that IMO it is cheesy but not cheesy in an English way, maybe more  in a musty Germany Limburger way.

Hope the Mods don't see this reply, perhaps i should had used invisible ink
